"Honoring Sharon McKenna"

About fifty people attended the Fifth Maine's 51st Annual Meeting on Thursday August 17th. Prior to the meeting a delicious potluck supper, including a beautufully decorated cake honoring Sharon McKenna's seven years as President was enjoyed by all.


Incoming President Bill Zimmerman presents outgoing President Sharon L.McKenna with a certificate thanking her for her many years' service, while Joyce and Hugh Woodbury look on.	All photos by Don Perry

During the business meeting that followed supper, outgoing Board members Patty Gardner, Diana Moxhay and Joe Kane were thanked for their service and new Board members Joan Smith and Jamie Hogan were welcomed.


Sharon hands Bill the gavel as he becomes president for the coming year.

The evening concluded with election of officers for the coming year and the passing of the gavel to newly elected President Bill Zimmerman.

The Board of Directors presented Sharon with a framed map of Peaks Island, drawn in 1884, showing lodging, dining and entertainment facilities on the island.

What celebration is complete without a cake?

The first piece of cake was served to longtime member Phil Munn.
