Please join us for our Annual Membership Meeting. A light supper will be served on the porch starting at 5:30pm, followed by a “State of the Fifth Maine” update from the board.
Then at 7pm, we will move into the Memorial Hall for a presentation open to all. Penobscot historian, James Francis, will deliver a talk entitled “A Penobscot Sense of Place.” Mr. Francis is Penobscot Nation’s Director of Cultural and Historic Preservation and Tribal Historian. He studies the relationship between Maine Native Americans and the landscape. He's an accomplished historical researcher, photographer, filmmaker, and graphic artist, and co-produced a film on race relations as it pertains to Native American people in Maine and the Canadian Maritimes. Mr. Francis has served on numerous advisory boards for cultural institutions around New England.
New members are always welcome! You can join in person anytime the museum is open, on the night of our membership meeting, or via this link.
We hope to see you there!
